The operating system behind ProofTrail

The ProofTrail Method

A conclusion is only as strong as the trail connecting the question, search, evidence, reasoning, and unresolved facts.

Stage 1

Question

Define exactly what must be learned, what is already known, and what would count as a supported answer.

Stage 2

Capture

Preserve records, source details, correspondence, DNA match information, negative searches, and research actions inside the case.

Stage 3

Connect

Link people, relationships, events, records, DNA, and claims so evidence keeps its context.

Stage 4

Challenge

Record evidence for and against each hypothesis, surface contradictions, and identify what remains unproved.

Stage 5

Conclude

Write the answer at the strength the evidence supports, without converting possibility into fact.

Stage 6

Preserve

Keep the audit trail, report versions, unresolved work, and next actions available for review or continuation.

What makes the method difficult to imitate

The value is not any single feature. It is the enforced relationship between claims, sources, people, DNA, contradictions, hypotheses, next actions, and reportable conclusions. Copying the screens does not reproduce the reasoning architecture.
